Maps and Crafts

Time: irrelevant

Last year I was trying out new rendering techniques, and decided to make a few maps of some of the cities that were part of the Smart Cities Mission, but these were not regular geographical  maps, these were, I suppose, psychological landscapes, perhaps my own.

I decided to call these "Raw Towns" taken after In Memory of WB Yeats from WH Auden

"For poetry makes nothing happen: it survives
In the valley of its making where executives
Would never want to tamper, flows on south
From ranches of isolation and the busy griefs,
Raw towns that we believe and die in"
